I hope I never meet Eva Longoria. I would be her slave forever. Drooling

Do you know what the word useless means?

can i cheat and use an entire phrase? i absolutely despise ''i know right?'' also, when parents refer to their young son and daughter as ''bubby (sometimes bubba)'' and ''sissy''. that shit makes me see red.

RE: worst word eva?!?!?!
My two most hated words right now?

"Gangbusters" instead of very well, successful, or enthusiastic.

"Gobsmacked" instead of surprised, shocked, or astounded.

If we were going with phrases, mine would be "due to the fact that." It's "because." Using "due to the fact that" makes it sound like a two-year-old trying to be Hawking.

Edited for harshness.

RE: worst word eva?!?!?!
I'm not sure about a word that is useless but I live in California and I hear a lot of useless word usage if that makes sense. For example, many people here will make a statement and will end it with "..and everything" and sometimes" ...or whatever" It makes it hard to understand what they are saying and it's just funny to add that, "I think chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies...and everything...or like whatever." ummm ok, wait, what? "Like just in case I forgot I wanted to add literally everything on to the end of that sentence, so that I'm clear." Umm ok sure. The worst one is "y'know what I'm sayin'?" especially in the middle of a story, all I can do is say "Yes I know, please continue." It's not that bad but when I meet someone who can articulate really well I'm so happy.

That and listing a lot of things and ending with "...and stuff". One of the guys in my wood carving class will terminate a sentence with "...and so on and so forth." when he runs out of things to say. But he's in his late 70s, so I don't bug him about it.
